Cody Yokubaitis pitched a one-hitter, and Bishop Diego erupted for four runs in the seventh inning to beat Santa Clara 5-1 in a Frontier League baseball opener on Friday.Yokubaitis was hurt by a couple of errors in the first inning and fell behind 1-0. In a back-and-forth battle, Bishop Diego’s boys basketball team came out on the short end of a 73-70 decision against Fresno Christian in a Division 5 first-round game of the CIF State Tournament on Tuesday in Fresno.The Cardinals turned the ball during the fourth quarter and missed some crucial free throws down the stretch.
