Bishop Diego hosts 41st golf tournament

The 41st Annual Bishop Diego Golf Tournament was another sellout this year, as Cardinal supporters took to Glen Annie Golf Club for a Texas Scramble shootout on Friday.The competitive field featured a handful of scratch golfers and some amazing shots, including tee shots within three feet on both the 11th and 17th holes by Jim Slaught. Bishop athletes recognized for sportsmanship

Scott Mandrell awarded Kenny Shake award

Bishop Diego High School has been singled out as the Tri Valley League recipient of the 2011-2012 Kenny Fagan “Shake for Sportsmanship” Award.  This particular award is voted on by the athletic directors in each league in the CIF Southern Section and focuses on the behavior of student athletes with regard to treatment of opponents and officials as well as student body participation in athletic contests. Yokubaitis fires one-hitter to lead Bishop in league opener

Cody Yokubaitis pitched a one-hitter, and Bishop Diego erupted for four runs in the seventh inning to beat Santa Clara 5-1 in a Frontier League baseball opener on Friday.Yokubaitis was hurt by a couple of errors in the first inning and fell behind 1-0.
