The 41st Annual Bishop Diego Golf Tournament was another sellout this year, as Cardinal supporters took to Glen Annie Golf Club for a Texas Scramble shootout on Friday.

The competitive field featured a handful of scratch golfers and some amazing shots, including tee shots within three feet on both the 11th and 17th holes by Jim Slaught. The net champions with a score of 49.2 were Max and Danny Kwock, Nico Reggerio and Pat Towersly. The lowest gross score was a 54 turned in by Greg Frye, Steve Swiacki, Bob Dewey and Carmen Magazino.

Each hole at the event had a sponsor and something for the participants to try, whether it was demo golf clubs or ceviche and margaritas. Course staff praised event coordinator Stacey Carr for making it the most organized tournament held at the course.

Greg Frye, Steve Swiacki, Bob Dewey, Carmen Magazino (L to R) were gross champions.
