A couple of freshmen scored game-winning goals for the Santa Barbara High boys water polo team during a 3-0 day at the Pal Tournament in Orange County.
Adam Gross delivered the deciding goal in a 9-8 win over Cerritos and Sawyer Rhodes tallied the winner in an 8-7 victory of Scripps Ranch of San Diego.
Tyler Heffernan scored four goals and Skyler Matthews added three goals in the Cerritos game. Rhodes, Chris Bartholomew and Gross each had two goals in the win over Scripps Ranch.
Santa Barbara finished the tourney with a 10-5 win over Damien, Heffernan erupted for six goals and goalie Sam Johnson had 11 saves.
