BWP: Carpinteria looks to a bright future

Carpinteria was overpowered by Oaks Christian, 17-5, in the Tri-Valley League boys water polo finale, but Warriors coach Bryan Swarm saw a silver lining after the game.

“We were actually very happy with our effort although the results could have been better,” he said. “Again, our goalie had another great game.”

Zeke Hart made 14 saves. Noah Reed led the offense for Carpinteria (7-16, 2-8) with three goal.

“We had an up and down season, but we learned a lot and each player grew in their individual skills.” Swarm said. “This experience should pay dividends for us in the years to come, as we are only graduating three seniors from our group of 18 players.”
