Maddie Schrager scored five goals, but Cate’s defense had a tough time hold down Malibu in a 21-11 Tri-Valley League girls water polo loss on Wednesday.
Sophia Soriano added two goals and Chloe King scored on a pair of outside shots for the Rams. Captain Caroline Montgomery got into early foul trouble and had to sit out much of the second half.
Cate goes into the winter break with a 2-2 record.
