Santa Barbara High’s boys water polo team will play for a CIF Championship on Saturday after defeating Laguna Beach 9-7 in Wednesday’s Division 2 semifinal match at the?Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine.
The Dons never trailed past the first quarter and led 7-4 at halftime.
Laguna Beach fought hard in the second half but could never cut Santa Barbara’s lead to under two goals.
Agoura beat Damien 8-6 in the other D2 semifinal, creating a Dons vs. Chargers CIF title match scheduled for Saturday at 2:45 p.m. in Irvine.
