San Marcos took third place at the San Luis Obispo boys water polo tournament.
The Royals defeated San Joaquin Memorial (9-3), Mt. Carmel (18-6), Buena in overtime (11-10) and Arroyo Grande (7-4). They lost to Campolindo (8-5).
Shane Hauschild scored 18 goals on the weekend and Spencer Kemp added seven more.
“Spencer played really well all weekend,” said coach Jeff Ashton.
