CIF brackets were released on Monday, showing league champions Santa Barbara High, Carpinteria and Cate at home for their opening-round CIF matches on Wednesday.
Other local teams reaching the postseason include San Marcos and Dos Pueblos. Both will travel for first-round matches on Wednesday.
Santa Barbara High, winners of 34 straight Channel League championships, host Palos Verdes on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Dons won a CIF championship last season in Division 2 and moved up to the Division 1 tournament this year.
Frontier League champion Carpinteria gained the No. 2 seed in Division 5. The Warriors host a wild-card winner in Wednesday’s first round.
Condor League champion Cate also faces a wild-card winner on Wednesday in the Division 4 Tournament.
Dos Pueblos and San Marcos are in Division 1. The Chargers travel to Marmonte League No. 2 Westlake. The Royals open up at Pacific Coast League No. 2 Corona del Mar.
