Spencer Shapiro, Matthew Firestone and Zack Allen all scored four times for Cate’s boys water polo team on Wednesday in a 24-7 result against Channel Islands.
The Rams had eight players score in total, including three each from Parker Gribb and Austin Jackson.
“Cate pulled away early, and although the defense wasn’t as sharp as it could have been, the frontcourt looked strong, as did the counterattacking,” explained Rams head coach Nathan Alldredge.
It was the final tune-up of the preseason before Cate hosts Oaks Christian in the Tri-Valley league opener Friday.
