Presidio Sports is excited to announce the beginning of a new monthly award, made possible by Pacific Western Bank, given out to volunteers that devote their time to making our local sports organizations and sporting events all that they can be.
Each month we will recognize a local volunteer and write a spotlight piece on that individual, to be published on PresidioSports.com. The honoree will also be given a $25 gift certificate to Paradise Cafe and a Presidio Sports t-shirt.
Volunteers often go under-recognized even though they are extremely important to the athletic community. So important that many of the sporting events and organizations key to our lives wouldn?t be possible without those who donate their time to assist others. This is our way of saying thanks.
In order to be considered for the ?Volunteer of the Month? award, there are just a couple of guidelines: the nominee must be an unpaid volunteer and at least 18 years old. And of course they have to be awesome volunteers…
Our first award recipient is Jeanie Purcell Hill for chairing the Santa Barbara Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet.
