The Southern Section’s CIF postseason draws were announced on Monday, with Santa Barbara, San Marcos, Carpinteria and Cate receiving home matches to start the playoffs.
Dos Pueblos also reached the postseason as the No. 2 team from the Channel League but the Chargers will be travelling for their first-rounder at Peninsula.
San Marcos hosts Redondo Union in Tuesday’s wild-card round. If they win, the Royals would travel to top-seeded University on Wednesday.
Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and Cate all won their respective league titles.
The Dons, like Dos Pueblos and San Marcos, are playing in the Division-1 Tournament. University is the No. 1 seed with Corona del Mar at No. 2 and Harvard-Westlake at No. 3. The Dons are in the same half of the bracket as University and No. 4 Palos Verdes.
Santa Barbara will open against a wild-card team, either Thousand Oaks or Crossroads.
Frontier League champion Carpinteria and Condor League champion Cate play in Division 4.
The Warriors host Dunn on Wednesday. The winner will move on to a likely second-round matchup with top-seed Viewpoint.
As the division’s No. 3 seed, Cate will play the winner of a wild-card match between Godinez and Lompoc.
