The seniors stepped up for Dos Pueblos in their final regular season home water polo match Wednesday.
Sjors Van Alphen scored three goals, Nick Lum added a pair and goalie Phillip Bates turned back 12 shots in the Chargers’ tight 6-4 win over Ventura.
“It was nice to see two of our seniors scored five of our six goals, and Phillip holding Ventura to four goals is a pretty good outing,” said DP coach Chris Parrish, whose team improved to 6-0 in league play and 13-9 overall.
Dos Pueblos trailed 3-2 at halftime but came out strong in the third period and scored three goals to take the lead for good.
