Lexi Greenwald and Kate Montgomery scored overtime goals for Cate’s girls water polo team on Wednesday, which stood up in a 10-8 Tri-Valley League win over Carpinteria.
Rams head coach Nathan Alldredge said Montgomery played one of her best games of the season as the junior led Cate with four goals and steady defense.
Belle Kammer aided Montgomery with three goals as the Rams finished its league season at 6-4, good for second place.
Every starter for Cate played every minute as Alldredge leaned heavily on his leaders to get the much-wanted victory.
