It’s that time of the year again to make sure the kids get out of the house to enjoy the summer sun! What better than to enroll them in a fun, active and rewarding summer camp experience this year?

Here we’ve provided a directory of youth summer camps suitable for athletes and those interested in fun and engaging outdoor activities.

Buff Platt Golf Camps

Instructors will aim to develop player skill-set. This camp is designed for Junior golfers with playing experience. Campers will play nine holes everyday. Five Mon.-Fri. sessions.

Challenger British Soccer Camp

Climbing Adventure for Kids

Beginner’s climbing techniques ranging from safety, movement skills, belaying, holds and knots. Three Mon.-Fri. sessions for ages six and up.

Club West Youth Running Camp

Flag Football Camp

Instructors will teach the fundamentals of football on both sides of the ball. Campers will put their skills to use in scrimmages and will also have the chance to swim. Five day camp starting on Aug. 13.

HEARTS Horse Riding Camp

Hendry’s Beach Junior Life Guards

Fun, fitness and education blended together. Participants will learn rescue techniques, CPR and marine ecology while also taking par in paddling, surfing and other water sports. Two three-week sessions, Mon.-Fri.

Inline Skate Camp

Particpants can learn or improve inline skating skills in addition to taking part in group games and arts and crafts. Camp concludes with a video presentation of the participants newly honed skills. Two Mon.-Fri. sessions.

Jr. Lifeguards East Beach

Daily workouts, water safety courses, frist aid and marine education. Modified programs for younger ages. Promotes physical fitness and camaraderie. One seven-week program for (two-weeks for youngsters).

Ka Nai’a Outrigger & Kayaking CLinic

Ken Ota’s Akido with Ki and Judo

Kidz Love Soccer Camp

Kiteboarding Clinic

The Revolution Field Hockey Camp at UCSB, hosted from July 28-July 31, is considered the finest in the country. Each camp provides female athletes, ages 10 -18, with the opportunity to become better field hockey players in a fun, positive environment. Campers learn from the best coaches and teachers the sport has to offer. Each camp offers great skill training, scrimmaging, camper bonding and fun!
