BSoc: Chargers sweep first two at Cats and Hounds

Manny Nwosu scored four goals and added an assist in two games on Friday at the Cats and Hounds Tournament for Dos Pueblos. The Chargers delivered a 6-0 victory over Nipomo and a 2-1 victory over Atascadero.

“It was our first opportunity to see some real adversity and I was pleased with the way my captains and leaders responded,” said head coach Matt York.

Senior captain Jessie Jimenez came through with the game-winning goal in the 66th minute. Alex Chang took a corner kick that floated to the front of the goal and bounced a couple ways before Jimenez connected.

Cheng scored a goal in the first game, as did junior Brian Gutierrez and Will Parker. Jimenez tallied a pair of assists against Nipomo.
