Carpinteria’s 35-6 victory over Fillmore on Friday night clinched a CIF playoff berth for the Warriors for finishing second in the Tri-Valley League.
A tough non-league schedule handed the Warriors some big losses on the scoreboard but the team won two of three games once TVL play started to make playoffs.
The Warriors led 14-0 at halftime thanks to two rushing touchdowns. Carpinteria maintained its edge in the second half and built the lead to 28-0 by the time the fourth quarter rolled around.
Fillmore falls to 0-3 in TVL play.
CIF pairings will be released on Sunday with the first round scheduled for next Friday.
