A second-half surge put Laguna Blanca out of reach in a 43-13 victory for the Owls over Villanova in the Condor League opener.
The Owls held a slim 21-13 at halftime before a fumble recovery and return for a touchdown by Aidan O’Donnell sparked a strong second half for Laguna. Christian Fowler led the defensive effort with 14 tackles.
Aidan’s older brother, Pierce, was a standout on offense with six catches and 104 yards, highlighted by a 64-yard touchdown reception.
Laguna Blanca’s next game is in two weeks at home against Orcutt Academy.
