A 9-9 draw with Arroyo Grande went in the Eagles’ favor thanks to a 78-76 advantage in total games, handing Santa Barbara High’s girls tennis team a non-league defeat on Wednesday.
It was an incredibly evenly played match as the score was tied after each round and the overall match came down to the final set. Arroyo Grande pulled out a dramatic tiebreak win to force the 9-9 tie.
Cade Sorensen swept three singles sets and the doubles team of Eva Kershner and Alexia Berton did the same.
Santa Barbara High hosts Dos Pueblos on Thursday.
