CIF Football Polls: Bishop moves up to No. 7

After being stuck in the No. 9 position for several weeks, Bishop Diego moved up two spots to No. 7 in this week’s CIF Northern Division football poll.

The Cardinals are one of three unbeaten teams in the division, joining top-ranked Camarillo and No. 5 Palmdale at 8-0.

Bishop Diego can clinch a tie for the Tri-Valley League title with a win over rival Carpinteria (3-5) on Saturday night at La Playa Stadium.

In 8-man football, Cate (7-0) remains No. 2 in Division 1 behind Mojave. Laguna Blanca (6-1) is sixth. The Rams and Owls play Saturday at Laguna.
