Santa Barbara High’s stingy defense didn’t do Ventura any favors in Tuesday’s Channel League game as the Dons limited Ventura to one goal in the first half in a 9-4 decision.
The Dons, ranked No. 3 in Division 2, led 3-1 at halftime and 9-2 part-way through the fourth quarter. The result – Santa Barbara’s 14th-straight victory – keeps the Dons undefeated in the league standings at 6-0.
Sawyer Rhodes’ six goals were a team-high. Jack Rottman added a pair of scores while Evan Blix collected two assists and two steals.
The Dons travel to the Steve Pal Tournament this weekend, opening against Yucaipa on Friday.
