Oak Park overpowers Carpinteria

Carpinteria couldn’t get its offense going, and the Warriors suffered their third straight loss, falling to Oak Park, 39-7, in a non-league game Friday night.

The Warriors were held to 120 yards in total offense as the Oak Park defense put heavy pressure on quarterback Mike Garibay all night.

Oak Park’s offense ran smoothly behind quarterback Dave Schmucker. The transfer from Paraclete ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more.

The Eagles, who went 0-10 last year, are now 4-0.
