GVB: Bishop Diego unable to capitalize on promising start

The Bishop Diego Cardinals went up two games to zero against against a tough Nordhoff attack, but was unable to maintain their lead as they gave up the subsequent three games on Tuesday at home. The game scores were 25-21, 25-17, 18-25, 26-28, 7-15.

“We were up 22-16 in game 4. The Rangers staged a big comeback on our mistakes,” said coach John Sener.

Summer soto put up an impressive performance from the libber position, finishing with 25 digs and hitting 200. Talia Medel also had a good night attacking, hitting 400 with 9 kills.

Bishop Diego travels to Malibu on Thursday for another league match.
