Siena and Serina Applebaum won their final set in a tiebreaker, lifting Dos Pueblos’ tennis team to a dramatic 10-8 victory over Calabasas on Thursday.
The tiebreaker score was 7-5 as the Applebaum team clinched the match with their second win of the day. DP’s top doubles team, Saylor Yoos and Heather Cano, swept three sets 6-2, 6-0, 6-0.
In singles, KC Egger went 2-1 while Hannah Kleidermacher claimed another set for DP.
Dos Pueblos Opens the Season With A Win Against Calabasas 10-8
Today Dos Pueblos hosted Calabasas in the season opener. The day came down to the last Double’s team on court and a tiebreaker to win the match.
The Chargers (1-0) will play a second match in two days, hosting Santa Ynez on Friday.
