Jacob Castillo tied the game with three seconds left to go in regulation, and Jack Rottman did the rest, firing in a sudden-death overtime strike to secure a 10-9 win over visiting Malibu on Tuesday.
Adam Gross tallied 3 goals and 4 assists on the day, one of which set up Rottman’s goal in double overtime. Jacob Panossian tacked on a goal of his own and came out ahead in two overtime sprints.
The Dons improve to 4-3 with the win and will open the South Coast Tournament with Capistrano Valley on Thursday.
