Santa Barbara High won four straight matches at the South Coast Tournament this weekend, finishing the tournament with a 6-5 win over Villa Park and a 16-14 decision over Edison.
Sawyer Rhodes racked up 13 goals in the two games, with a game-high of eight goals in the win over Edison. Rhodes added five steals in the first game and four ejections in the second.
Chris Gaffney’s goal and four steals were key to the first win. Jack Rottman’s four goals came in handy in the second win. Adam Gross filled the stat sheet with three goals, six assists and four steals against Edison.
Santa Barbara, ranked No. 4 in CIF Division 2, hits the road again on Tuesday in a match at Rio Mesa.
