The Goleta Valley South Little League 11-under All-Stars are the 2015 District 63 champions.
Goleta Valley South Little League’s 11-under All-Stars captured the District 63 championship with a 3-2 victory over Santa Paula on Monday night at the GVSLL complex.
Gabe Martinez singled in Greg Marmo with the winning run in the sixth inning for Goleta Valley South.
Jake Rister went the distance on the mound for GVSLL, striking out seven and walking none. He got outstanding defensive play behind him from second baseman David Becchio, shortstop Thomas Kinzler and third baseman Martinez.
The team is coached by Tony Sandoval.
Goleta Valley South advances to the Section 1 Tournament, which it will host starting July 15.
