Santa Barbara’s Laurel Kujan combined with Alyssa Slagerman to win the Under-16 division title at a California Beach Volleyball Association Youth Tournament at Will Rogers State Beach.
Kujan, a sophomore at Laguna Blanca, and Slagerman, a junior at Palisades High, won three playoff matches, including a 21-9 rout in the final.
In another event, Kujan and partner Pippa Monk Heidrick of Manhattan Beach finished third in a USA Volleyball U16 tournament at Hermosa Beach.
