PBB: Tmur, Moropoulos lead Dons to pair of wins

Marcus Tmur fired a three-hit, six-inning shutout as Santa Barbara beat Soquel, 10-0, for its second win of the day at the Anaheim Lions Baseball Tournament on Monday.

The Dons earlier defeated Kennedy of La Palma, 4-2, behind the pitching of Trevor Moropoulos.

Tmur struck out four and walked just one against Soquel. He got plenty of offensive support. Carter Soto hit a home run and a double, Dalton Schroeder went 4-for-4 with a double and Christian Loza went 2-2 with a RBI.

Against La Palma, Moropoulos struck out four and allowed one walk. He helped himself at the plate with two hits and a RBI. Schroeder had two key hits and a RBi and Kevin Gowdy had a pair of hits.

Schroeder picked up the save by retiring the last two Kennedy hitters

Santa Barbara (9-5) plays Dana Hills on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
