Morgan Pierce and Oliver Welch each pounded 16 kills, and Cate pulled out a five-set win over Nordhoff in a Tri-Valley League boys volleyball match on Tuesday. The scores were 14-25, 25-17, 25-18, 20-25, 15-13.
“We played lot better that our last match,” said Cate coach Greg Novak.
Pierce had three served aces and a stuff block to go with his kills. The Rams are 2-1 in league.
