Morgan Pierce had 13 kills and five aces, and Cate opened its boys volleyball season with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-15 victory at Malibu on Tuesday.
“Overall, we did well,” coach Greg Novak said. “We’re still learning about where to be on the court. Once we figure that out, we’ll be in good with better offense and defense.”
Chase McCaw, making his varsity debut at setter, had five aces for the Rams.
