It was the Warriors’ senior night at the final Tri-Valley league match of the season on Wednesday as the Carpinteria girls water polo team defeated Cate 14-4 in an offensive affair.
Carpinteria’s three seniors, Sierra Garibay, Maya Grant, and Allison Wagner seemed to have a little more motivation going into this one as the girls scored a collective 10 goals.
In addition to the Warriors stifling offensive performance, the defense played phenomenally in front of goalie Nicole Poulos, who recorded 15 saves.
With the win, the Warriors close out Tri-Valley League play with an 8-2 record, in sole possession of second place heading into the CIF playoffs.
