Channel League-champion San Marcos and runner-up Dos Pueblos received home games for the first round of the CIF Division 1 girls water polo playoffs.
The Royals (21-7) will play host to Rosary (19-9), the No. 3 team from the rugged Trinity League, while DP (16-9) takes on Los Alamitos (21-8), the Sunset League’s No. 2 representative.
Santa Barbara (13-15), which finished third in the Channel League, travels to Trinity League champion Orange Lutheran (21-3).
All first-round games are on Wednesday. San Marcos and Rosary will play at 3:15 p.m. The times for the other games are still to be determined.
If San Marcos wins, it would play either third-seeded Newport Harbor or Beckman in Saturday’s quarterfinals. Dos Pueblos is in a bracket with top-seeded and undefeated Laguna Beach and Villa Park. Santa Barbara is opposite No. 4-seeded Corona del Mar and a wild-card team.
Carpinteria (Tri-Valley No. 2) is playing a wild-card game on Division 7 on Tuesday. The Warriors host Don Lugo (Mt. Baldy No. 3), with the winner traveling to San Gorgonio (San Andreas No. 1) on Thursday for a first-round game.
