Carpinteria’s Brenda Rodriguez was a force in the two-meter position, scoring seven goals to lead the Warriors to a 13-6 girls water polo win over Cate in a battle for city bragging rights
Rodriguez gave Carpinteria an early lead. In addition to her scoring, she drew three ejections.
Sierra Garibay, Maya Grant, Kimmy Methmann and Alisa Lemere also scored for the Warriors (4-1 in the TVL).
The Carpinteria defensive swarmed the Rams and produced 22 steals. Goalie Nicole Poulos had nine saves.
Ally Satterfield scored three goals to lead Cate (2-6, 1-4).
