Dos Pueblos gave CIF Divsion 2A second-ranked Buena all it could handle before falling, 49-44, in a Channel League girls basketball game on Tuesday night at Sovine Gym.
The Chargers were ahead by three with 1:45 to go in the game. But Buena forced a couple of turnovers and capitalized to take the lead and hold on for the victory.
Hallie Magee scored 21 points to lead the Chargers (9-7, 0-3). Camila Casanueva had 10 points and Milan McGary added six.
Amy Jameson scored 21 to pace Buena (16-5, 2-0).
