BSoc: Dos Pueblos makes comeback on Ventura, prevails 6-2

Tim Heiduk served as the offensive catalyst for the Dos Pueblos boys soccer team, sparking a stunning comeback en route to a 6-2 win over the Cougars on the road.

After Ventura put the first goal on the board in the 15th minute, that’s when Heiduk got going. In the 19th minute, he finessed a well-placed cross to a hustling Ameet Braganza for the equalizer.

No more than three minutes later, Heiduk blew by multiple defenders for the score after retrieving a cross from Jessie Jimenez.

In the 31st minute, Heiduk returned the favor with a cross of his own the found Jimenez who was able to tap it by the keeper for another score.

In the final seconds of the half, Heiduk shook his defender, drew the keeper, and dished it to an open Nathan Garcia who converted the fifth goal of the game.

The final goal came when Geoff Chappaz got his foot on a chaotic scramble in the box to secure a 6-2 victory.

The Chargers will play at home on Tuesday.
