San Marcos defeated The Bishops School of La Jolla, 6-3, in the third-place game at the Villa Park girls water polo tournament on Saturday.
The Royals fell to San Clemente, 10-8, in the semifinals. Paige Hauschild scored four goals and had four steals. Brittany Prentice drew six ejections and goalie Jenna Phreaner had five blocks.
Against The Bishops, Riley Heiduk scored three goals, Kate Coski scored two and Prentice added a goal. Phreaner made six stops in the win.
On Friday, Prentice scored five goals, leading San Marcos past Huntington Beach, 14-7, in the quarterfinals.
The Royals (5-1) play at Royal on Tuesday and open Channel League play on Thursday at home against Santa Barbara.
