BSoc: Chargers win Monrovia tourney finale

Sophomore goalkeeper Tave Grabenheinrich deflected three point-blank shots in the final minutes, preserving a 1-0 win over Marshall at the Monrovia boys soccer tournament.

The Chargers’ goal came in the 25th minute. Senior midfielder Jonathan Garcia crossed the ball through the box and striker Manny Nwosu finished it.

Coach Matt York lauded the work of sophomore Sam “Snowlake” Roberts.

Dos Pueblos (2-4-1) plays again Tuesday at home against Righetti.
