MBK: Blau, Carlin pace Warriors past Master’s

Cory Blau poured in a career-high 28 points, leading four Westmont players in double figures in an 87=71 win over The Master’s in a GSAC game at Murchison Gym.

Daniel Carlin recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, as the Warriors (5-4, 2-1) dominated from the start.

“I think Daniel Carlin and Cory Blau did a nice job of leading us,” Westmont coach John Moore said. “Daniel was perfect from the field in the first half and really established a low-post presence for us. That allowed Cory to be as open as he was. He always finds the open looks. To have 14 points in the first half and 14 points in the second half is so impressive. Cory really is the model of consistency and we have grown to depend on him. Sean Harman was another consistent one for us. He turned it over a little more than he usually does, but he continues to be a helpful, double-digit player for us.”

Harman had 10 points and Gerry Karczewski scored 12. The Warriors shot 53 percent in the game.
