UCSB suffered its ninth straight loss in men’s water polo, falling to UC Irvine 9-6 on Saturday in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game at Irvine.
The Gauchos fell to 9-13 on the season and 0-8 in the MPSF.
After Cameron Yates’ goal pulled the Gauchos to within 7-6 with 3:55 left in the fourth period, the team went scoreless the rest of the way. The Anteaters scored two more goals to pull away.
