BBK: Dons erupt in 3rd quarter, rout Pioneer Valley

Andrew Fay knocked down three 3-pointers during a 33-point third quarter, and Santa Barbara blew out Pioneer Valley, 89-55, in its boys basketball home opener on Saturday.

The Dons held a 36-31 at halftime before blowing the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Pioneer Valley 33-12.

Bolden Brace led a balanced attack for Santa Barbara (2-0)with 19 points. Ben Clay added 14 points, Chris Wagonhurst had 12 points and Ben Brown chipped in 10 points.

Dons coach Dave Bregante lauded Max Henderson for making several plays which led to easy baskets and JM Cage for his work on the boards.
