Local squash player earns All-American honors

Miguel Nava has been selected by the United States Squash Association as one of this year’s All American Junior Players.

Nava, a 2014 graduate of Dos Pueblos High and a member of the Santa Barbara School of Squash, is a National Urban Squash Champion and is the current SoCal High School Champion. He is currently ranked among the nation’s top 50 players in the Boys under-19 division.

Nava started playing squash about 7 years ago, when his father was working at the Santa Barbara Athletic Club. He took to the sport immediately and developed into one of California’s elite players. He is now attending City College, coaching part-time and volunteering for the Santa Barbara School of Squash.
