Led by Henry Hepp’s game-winning goal with two minutes left in the final period, Santa Barbara defeated Buena 9-8 in a Channel League matchup on Tuesday.
The outstanding freshman led the Dons with three goals on the day. Adam Gross had two goals and a game-sealing steal with 10 seconds left to clinch the victory for Santa Barbara.
Sawyer Rhodes had another solid outing, tallying a goal, four assists and six steals. Chris Gaffney chipped in with a goal and 4 steals for the Dons.
With the victory, Santa Barbara improves to 14-7 overall and 2-1 in league.
The Dons hosts San Marcos in a key Channel League matchup on Thursday.
