Royals routed by Pacifica

Pacifica made San Marcos pay for its turnovers and rolled to a 55-7 non-league football win on Friday night in Oxnard,

The Tritons cashed on fumbles and pass interceptions to roll up a 27-7 lead by halftime.

San Marcos got its lone touchdown on a 2-yard Ivan Reyes run in the first quarter.

The Royals defense struggled all night against the potent Pacifica offense. Running back Jacob Neri rushed for 140 yards on six carries and score two touchdowns. He busted off a 69-yard TD run on the second play of the game.

Wide receiver Deondre Vines caught two touchdown passes — one which cover 75 yards — and had 149 receiving yards.
