Stamatia Scarvelis finished in seventh place in the discus at the USA Track & Field Junior Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Sunday.
Scarvelis, the CIF State Meet champion, threw 155-2 in the competition at the University of Oregon.
Valerie Allman of Stanford won the event with a toss of 188-6. Michigan State’s Katelyn Daniels was second at 174-9 and Julie Lange was third at 164-5.
Scarvelis, a three-time state champion in the shot put, is headed to UCLA in the fall.
