Roberto Nelson drains game-winner for Hornets

Santa Barbara High School alum Roberto Nelson provided the Charlotte Hornets with a dramatic game-winning three-pointer on Wednesday in a 82-81 victory over Dallas in an NBA Summer League game played in Las Vegas.

Taking the ball up the court with the clock winding down, Nelson pulled up and rose above two defenders to sink the off-balance game winner as the buzzer sounded.

It was a great end to Nelson’s best game of the NBA Summer League season so far. Nelson scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting in 13 minutes of playing time, having come into the game with just two points in two previous contests for the Hornets.

Nelson is an undrafted rookie out of Oregon State.
