The bike course heads past the bird sanctuary on Cabrillo Blvd. – and back – with Santa Barbara’s coastal mountains in the background.
The 2014 Santa Barbara Triathlon weekend is scheduled for August 22 through August 24, with the long-course competition held on Saturday the 23rd, and the short-course race on Sunday, the 24th.
The Santa Barbara Triathlon has been a local tradition since 1981 and is annually one of the largest participant sporting events in Santa Barbara every year.
The triathlon festivities are centered around the Cabrillo Bath House on East Beach. There you will find the finish line and transition area, plus a vendor village with plenty of fun new products and information about the sport.
