After last week’s tumble from the top spot in the CIF girls softball poll, Dos Pueblos moved from fourth to third in the latest ranking.
The Chargers dropped from first to fourth last week after suffering three losses (one against Buena and two in the Thousand Oaks Tournament). They rebounded with two wins over San Marcos and blanked Lompoc on Tuesday to improve to 19-5.
In baseball, Cate leaped over Dunn in the Division 7 poll after the Rams’ 2-1 win over the Earwigs last week. Cate is fifth and Dunn sixth.
Santa Ynez is second in Division 5.
The CIF will release the boys volleyball playoff pairings on Friday. San Marcos will take the top ranking into the Division 2 playoffs. Santa Barbara is seventh and Dos Pueblos eighth in the final poll.
Laguna Blanca is ranked third in the Division 5 poll.
Cate leads a trio of local teams in the Division 4 boys tennis rankings at No. 4. Santa Ynez is fifth and Laguna Blanca sixth.
Santa Barbara is ranked ninth in Division 1.
