Cate ran into a scrappy Firebaugh team and was knocked out in the first round of the CIF Division 5 volleyball playoffs on Tuesday. The scores were 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.
“We had great swings, but Firebaugh was too scrappy on defense and then put it away on us,” Cate coach Greg Novak said.
Morgan Pierce led the Rams with 11 kills, while Mo Batal and Oliver Welch added five apiece.
Cate finished the year at 9-5.
