Cate turned the heat up on the tennis court and scorched Dunn 16-2 to improve to 5-0 in the Condor League.
All nine players notched wins on the hot afternoon in Los Olivos. Brendan Lokre teamed with senior Shuta Kobayashi to earn a three-set sweep (6-0, 6-1, 6-0). In singles, freshman Kevin Ha matched these scores in his own sweep.
Edward Cho paired with Trey Jackson for their best outing of the season (6-1, 6-0, 6-3), said coach Bob Bonning. Seniors Johnowen Lowe and Michael Revord played efficient tennis over the course of the match (6-3, 6-1, 6-0).
Ranked fourth in CIF Division 4, Cate improves to 9-4 on the season.
