COMPLETE RESULTS

The San Marcos girls won 49-45 over Fountain Valley and 66-28 over Santa Barbara. Royals head coach Chuckie Roth noted Halie Johnson recording two personal bests in the 50 and 100 free, finishing fourth and second respectively.

“I thought she had two really gutsy swims,” Roth said. “She loves being on the outside and knocking off the girls on the inside.”

Dasha Depew (200 free; 1:57.70), Amanda Hayes (200 IM; 2:13.87) and Olivia Smith (50 free; 25.50) won events for the Royals.

“I thought we swam very well as a group. We had several best times for the season,” Roth said. “We have two weeks to train and then will start up meets when we return from spring break.”

Santa Barbara’s boys team topped San Marcos 53-41, led by Ben Brewer’s victory in the 500 free and second-place finish in the 200 IM.
